Leesville's (Digital) Literary Magazine was created by a talented and creative group of students who wanted others to have the opportunity to freely express their thoughts through any medium. ​

What is a literary magazine?

To put it simply, a literary magazine is what it sounds like: a magazine devoted to literature. For us, it means so much more than that. Traditionally, literary magazines were printed and sold as publications to feature writing and occasional art. Now, in the digital age, we can expand beyond tradition to include a wider variety of creative compositions. For Leesville, our literary magazine is a collection or anthology of student writing and artwork. We welcome all things creative including poetry, short fiction, creative nonfiction, prose, paintings, drawings, photography, and digital creations. Our purpose is to continue to provide a creative publication outlet for students for years to come.

A brief history: the past and the present...

Leesville Road High School's Literary magazine, The Crescendo, traditionally was published in print form.  A literary magazine has been absent from our school for some time. 2016-2017 marked Creative Writing Club's revival of the literary magazine, in digital form. Many thanks to the students who contributed writing and artwork. Many thanks to the student editors who made the revival of the literary magazine possible and continue its legacy for years to come. As for the future of the LRHS Literary Magazine, we hope to reestablish and grow a beloved tradition through creativity and innovation.
