by Ilya Kalinin Today was the day when the sun shined bright. With its warmth, it awoke the soldiers up from both sides. As one stood up and shone their swords, so did the other with their spears. The camps were small but large in numbers, as the other with its one big castle. The gates opened and the sound of swords came near as the spears hit the ground awaiting a signal. The drums had rumbled, and the spears went on as the swords got in their position. The sun was bright so were the soldiers' armor and their weapons, blinding each other. The time went by, and the sun was way up high as the soldiers stood by. The two sides stood steady and awaited their order. Their two leaders’ gazes went across the field staring at each other with a feeling of peace.
The one with a spear took off his armor as did the one with the sword. They knew that the day was not right as all their soldiers spiked their weapons into the soil. They took off their armor and placed it on the ground as both sides came together and started to play around. From talking to fighting they all had their fun but the day had almost ended so they all had to go back. They got their weapons and armor to shine them all down. The castle gates have closed and the camps lighted up. As the night fell, so did their fun. The next day, it was rainy and muddy, as the clouds blocked the sun from rising. Once again the two sides took place at their position awaiting their order. The two leaders' gazes did not meet across the field this time, as the clouds descended on the ground. There was no signal made by a leader but a lighting bolt striking the ground had made its decision. The thunder was as loud as a lion's roar, making all soldiers charge at one another. The swords and spears clashed against each other, making sparks and noise, soldiers dropping one after another. The leaders stood steady watching the battle, making sure they won against each other. As time went by, there was no one left but the two leaders. The fog went away as they both got closer, though the armies that fell looked around with sorrow. As one drew a sword, so did the one with his spear, both falling with their army at peace. The weather cleared out, and the battle had stopped as the brightly shining sun rose. Comments are closed.
